NFL: The Bills have no mercy for the Patriots in the first round of the playoffs

SUMMARY

The Buffalo Bills scored four first-half touchdowns en route to an easy 47-17 victory over the New England Patriots on Saturday in the first round of the playoffs.

Quarterback Josh Allen lived up to expectations and the Bills totally outplayed the Patriots, who were never in the game.

Allen had five touchdown passes and had 305 passing yards and 66 rushing yards. He joined Dawson Knox for two majors as well as Emmanuel Sanders, Gabriel Davis and Tommy Doyle, once each.

For his part, Devin Singletary crossed the line twice per race. He ran for 81 yards.

Patriots quarterback Mac Jones, like his entire team, had a grueling evening in the polar cold of Buffalo. The Pats’ first touchdown came after the Bills scored five.

Jones joined Kendrick Bourne for two touchdowns in the second half, but the damage was already done.

Jones was also intercepted twice. He completed 24 of 38 passes for 232 yards.

More details to come.
