Angelique Kerber before the start of the Australian Open: “Every round like a win for me”

After her illness and the two-week quarantine in Poland, Kerber only received the green light from the doctors shortly before Christmas to resume preparations for the start of the season.

“I’ve been here for a week now,” she reported on Friday and assured: “I’ve trained well and slowly acclimatized.” That being said, “I’m glad I’m here at all.”
