Antony is disappointed that his bosom friend Ajax sells Neres and announces transfer fee”>David Neres is leaving Ajax. The latter makes the switch to Shakhtar Donetsk. Antony does think that a transfer is the best solution for both Ajax and Neres.
Since Antony came to Ajax in the summer of 2020, he and Neres have been inseparable. The two both grew up in São Paulo. “It was very strange without him today (Friday, ed.)”, says Antony in front of the ESPN camera, after he was named Talent of the Month in the Eredivisie. “I spoke to David and went to his house. He is not a friend, but a brother to me.”
