The world number one is not allowed to take part in the Australian Open (January 17 to January 30) and has to leave Australia.
Srdjan Djokovic, his father, now posted this message on Instagram: “The assassination attempt on the best athlete in the world is over, 50 bullets in Novak’s chest. Nevertheless, he supports a 17-year-old player, that’s Nole, a man, a brother, see you in Paris (French Open from May 22nd to June 5th; editor’s note). “
The player mentioned could mean the Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis, who is already 25 years old. He won his first tournament on the ATP tour on Saturday, defeating Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech in the final in Adelaide 6: 7 (6: 8), 7: 6 (7: 5) and 6: 3.

Not only former world number one Roger Federer (40) was among the first to congratulate him, but also Djokovic.
Kokkinakis on Federer’s message: “He wrote me out of nowhere. It was pretty unreal to see that.” And further: “Djokovic also wrote to me today. It’s good to have the support of two such legends of the sport.” World No. 145 Kokkinakis has enjoyed eight years on the Tour marred by injury and illness.
The Djokovic father, on the other hand, cultivated the skewed comparisons in the affair about his son. He had already compared Novak to Jesus on January 6: “Jesus was crucified, everything was done to him, and he endured it and still lives among us. Now they are trying to crucify Novak in the same way and do everything to him.”
According to Australia’s Immigration Minister Alex Hawke (44), Djokovic has now left the country. He left on Sunday evening (local time). A federal court had previously rejected the Serb’s appeal against the annulment of the visa.
