Gasper Vidmar He has announced his retirement from basketball at the age of 34. The Slovenian center, European champion with his country in 2017, ends his career after a few seasons punished by injuries. Since 2018 he belonged to the Reyer Venezia squad.
These have been his words in the Slovenian media Diary:
«I finished my carrer. The knee can no longer withstand the daily stress.
Just a few months ago, he was hoping to play for Venezia in the second half of the season. I told the coach after the end of last season that I couldn’t play the whole season anymore, but maybe I would come back for the second half. They called me in December and I tried to train. But it quickly became clear that the knee no longer allowed it.
