The history of 49ers Y Cowboys in the Postseason is very rich, from the consecutive duels for the National Conference title in the decade of 1970, until the iconic “La Atrapada” in the 1981 season and the tough rivalry of the ninth when the Cowboys took the first two matchups on their way to the titles of Super Bowl and the Niners they took the third.
It will be the eighth time that the franchises meet in the Playoffs and the first since 1998. Thus, they are tied for the second most duels in the Super Bowl era, behind only the nine among the Rams Y Cowboys.
