Under still a saviour, André was at fault

The saving goal from Under, the big performance from Sanches, the red from André… Find the Tops and Flops at the end of this match between OM and Lille (1-1).

Tops

The beautiful series of Under
The Vélodrome had paid him a nice tribute before the game by thanking him for his historic goal in Bordeaux via a banner. And the Turkish winger was still successful against Lille. Very restless, he was the most impactful Phocaean in this meeting. First on the right, then on the left with the tactical change made by Sampaoli, he was elusive and ended up allowing OM to come back with a nice curling shot from the right, his bad foot. And could even have been the double hero without a strike repelled by Grbic in the last moments (90e+4).

Infatigable Renato Sanches
The Portuguese was sparkling on the lawn of the Vélodrome. Aligned on the right, rather than in the axis, at the start of the game, Renato Sanches ended up backing down after André’s expulsion. And he was the most consistent Lille player throughout the game. While his team suffered in the great widths, he sometimes came out with classy gestures to help keep the ball and even throw it forward. His great technical faculties have thus greatly relieved his team.

Pau Lopez-Grbic, a beautiful duel of goalkeepers
Both teams can warmly thank their goalkeeper. Pau Lopez first saved OM from a correction in the first period after his parades in front of Yilmaz (15e, 22e) and Bamba (43e). As for Ivo Grbic, he was also decisive by intervening in front of Payet (29e) and Guendouzi (30e) or by flying on the strike of Under (90e+4).

When Botman goes, Lille goes
The young Lille defender returned from injury in early December and is doing a lot of good for his team. The one who was one of the big revelations of last season was still solid at the post. And was also valuable for his aerial game, like his goal scored in the quarter hour after a corner. He then kept calm to repel all opposing crosses. A real boss game.

Flops

André penalized Lille
Yet experienced, Benjamin André penalized his team well. Nervous at the start of the game, he first took a yellow for too lively disputes (30e). Then two minutes later, he lost a dangerous ball in his camp and ended up committing a fault for a poorly controlled tackle on Guendouzi. The referee had no choice but to send him a second yellow synonymous with red (32e). An expulsion which necessarily penalized Losc, yet off to a good start.

Milik, still disappointing
The matches follow one another and look alike for Arkadiusz Milik. Isolated up front, the Pole struggled to exist against Lille. While his team outrageously dominated, he encountered difficulties in disrupting the northern defense and had few opportunities to get his teeth into it, except for this recovery from the side in a good position (74e). He continues to disappoint this season.
