The final tournament of “Athlete Cup” was held on Saturday, January 15th and Sunday, January 16th at Meiji Jingu Stadium, and Narashinodai One Pakuz in Chiba Prefecture was brilliantly crowned the best in Japan.

This tournament is one of the largest free baseball tournaments in Japan with about 1,300 teams from all over the country, and we have been co-sponsoring since 2020 to support children who play baseball. increase. This year, a total of 12 teams, representing 10 districts who won from 1,330 teams nationwide, advanced to the final tournament. In the final match, “Narashinodai One Pakuzu (Kanto 2nd Representative, Chiba)” and “Shizu Youth Baseball Club (Kansai 1st Representative, Shiga)” will play against each other. After a fierce battle, Narashinodai One Pakuz won the first victory 7 to 1. At the award ceremony, Hiroyuki Okamoto, director of the Company’s Public Relations and Marketing Division, presented the winning Narashinodai One Pakuz players with a trophy and a Kura Sushi meal voucher as a supplementary prize.
In this tournament, as the first attempt of the tournament, the final match was broadcast LIVE on our official Youtube channel. As a special guest, we invited Munenori Kawasaki of Tochigi Golden Braves, a former major leaguer, to explain the importance of respecting opponents and teammates and tactical aspects based on his own experience of softball baseball as a boy. He also praised the children’s gutsy play and high level. In addition, at the opening ceremony held prior to the final match, he showed a dynamic pitching to elementary school students and told the players, “Because all the children will be professional baseball players of the future, we will be the first in the draft and will be a professional baseball player with a contract fee of 100 million yen.
