Francisco Liriano announces his retirement

A few important players have announced their retirement on the sidelines of the current work stoppage. Among the big names to remember? Kyle Seager, Melky Cabrera and Jon Lester.

We can add to this the name of MLB: Melky Cabrera and Travis Snider announce their retirement”>Francisco Liriano. According to Robert Murray, the pitcher has decided to end his career as an MLB player.

Considering the 35-year-old pitcher hasn’t played since 2019, that’s no big surprise. The left-hander was there.

We don’t know what awaits him. For the moment, he will spend time with his family and he hopes, without pressure, to see one of his children break through in turn.

The left-handed pitcher had nine lives during his major league career. He played for the Pirates, Tigers, Astros, Blue Jays, White Sox and Twins.

In Toronto, he is particularly recognized for being the one who reported Teoscar Hernandez in a transaction in Houston. Thank you Francisco.

In 14 years, he maintained an ERA of 4.33. In 1813.2 innings pitched, Liriano passed 1815 batters in the mitt. We’ll round it up by saying one per inning, okay?

The starter, who became a reliever at the end of his career, therefore had a good career. Hats off to him.
