Hotels are no longer places to rest and sleep when away from home, for work, pleasure or tourism. In addition to responding to these traditional functions, today hotels have transformed and multiplied their offer to become places of socialization where they can telecommute, hold work and business meetings, present products, hold events and celebrate events and, also, rest and spend the night.
A new paradigm that will materialize in #techYhotel, which is located in Actiu presents its solutions for the new hotels of the future at FITURTechY 2022″>Fiturtechy, a space dedicated to technology and tourism in hall 10B of Fitur and organized by the Hotel Technological Institute (ITH), where Actiu shows its proposals in furniture to through three different spaces: lobby, restaurant area and operational area in a hotel room.
Three spaces for a new hotel model
Three proposals that are committed to innovation, technology and sustainability. Comfortable and functional, the furniture is presented as a tool to build and delimit different environments, through mobile and modular configurations, which vary according to the needs of each moment. Often integrated into the furniture itself, technology also enhances the dynamic character of a space that blurs the limits of the interior with the environment and provides maximum physical and digital accessibility.
Lobby
The collective zones are experiencing a true revolution. Inspired by the increasingly humanized social spaces of coworking and coliving, the new lobbies provide new experiences and are committed to the socialization of their users. In addition, they have become the first image, the hotel’s letter of introduction. In them, the integration of solutions such as elevating tables with connectivity or light and versatile furniture areas help to enhance social interaction.
Restoration and cafeteria
Restaurants and cafes have abandoned their homogeneous character and offer multiple environments, with bars from where you can send an email while having a quick snack or tables that favor networking. Possible configurations thanks to versatile, comfortable furniture, with a design that allows the finishes to be adapted to the personality of each establishment while guaranteeing great comfort and durability.
Bedroom
In the same way that offices have spaces for socializing and homes have areas to work, hotel rooms are witnessing a transformation aimed at the fusion and hybridization of uses. The objective is to respond to the new needs of guests and ensure that everything they may need during their stay can be offered, regardless of the time of year.
new protagonists
Actiu’s proposal includes totally ergonomic and functional furniture and work elements that multiply the possible uses to create different spaces and uses in a very easy, simple and fast way.
Fluit, a 100% sustainable Mediterranean chair
Designed by Archirivolto Design, Fluit is a clear example of the circular economy model that governs Actiu’s production philosophy. The result of an innovative process of gas injection of recycled polypropylene and fiberglass, Fluit is a stackable chair that adapts and enriches different corporate and hospitality environments and that stands out for its fluid and minimalist design and for its lightness and robustness, offering a 100% sustainable concept for a transversal solution.
TNK Flex chair, a second skin that anticipates the user’s movement
The TNK Flex task chair, designed by Alegre Design, creates a new category based on an innovative system that intuitively anticipates the user’s postural needs. The chair adapts to the morphology and movements of the human body, adjusting the backrest and seat as if it were a second skin.
The seat uses technology similar to that used in truck cabins: a suspended seat that provides a feeling of weightlessness. The seat is completed with a backrest that gathers and welcomes the back, adjusting automatically to all its movements, without the user having to activate any mechanism. The TNK Flex has been awarded the German Design Award and has a 24/7 intensive use certificate.
Wing chair, pure vintage style
Actiu has reinvented the traditional wooden chair creating an extremely attractive piece where versatility is the star factor. The vintage-style Wing chair is useful for any space, whether indoors or outdoors, and its design responds to the technical and aesthetic needs of the new trends in collective furniture.
Wing, which has received two prestigious international awards such as the IF Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award, is a creation by the Ramos & Bassols studio for Actiu. A chair where technology and comfort go hand in hand, as Wing is made using polypropylene with fiberglass, which ensures its longevity and makes it one hundred percent recyclable.
Badminton, an iconic piece
Badminton represents the great commitment to sophistication embodied in an enveloping seat and an iconic and innovative design developed by ITEM Designworks. The Badminton armchair invites you to break with the routine, to change the space and to attract new moments of inspiration.
Created as an iconic element, Badminton wants to be the differentiating note in any space. Thanks to its dynamic and open conception, it allows conversation, reading or the use of electronic devices without falling into a relaxation that prevents concentration.
Talent, the table that helps you move
The Talent table, designed by Alegre de Alegre Design, is folding, elevating and mobile, it can be easily stored and allows you to alternate sitting and standing work, facilitating mobility and, with it, health. In addition, it has wheels and can be used as a whiteboard for sketches, annotations and presentations. Its quality and safety is backed by the German GS certification and it has also been the only Spanish design finalist in the DesignEuropa Awards.
Talent combines ease of use and a height adjustment system that does not require electricity. An easily accessible button activates a gas piston that regulates both the rise and fall of the work surface, in a very subtle and smooth movement, in which it is the user himself who determines the elevation.
Longo Nómada, sofas and armchairs, collective or independent
The Longo collection, designed by Ramos&Bassols, is characterized by its fusion of soft seating and the office using a platform with a robust structure and a light appearance, which acts as a link to connect and branch out a multitude of modules in a space.
His compositional nature, his flexibility and versatility allow him to draw more friendly, open and relaxed environments, as well as all kinds of combinations that adjust to the different needs of each space.
