The restart of the youth championships has been postponed again – Sport

New postponement for the resumption of the youth basketball championships. The coronavirus leaves no respite for the basketball of the youngest. Following the meeting between the president of Fip Toscana, Massimo Faraoni, and the managers of the match offices in Florence and Livorno regarding the current situation, the regional committee of the Italian Basketball Federation has decided to postpone the matches scheduled from Monday. 17 January to Friday 28 January of the Under 16 Silver, Under 15 Silver, Under 14 Elite, Under 14 Silver, Under 13 Silver, Under 15 female, Under 14 female, Under 13 female championships. For the moment, the day of 22-23 January of these championships will be recovered between February, March and even May in some of these championships, which will restart (unless new and further communications) starting from Saturday 29 January. Consequently, all the youth teams in these categories that belong to the various clubs in the district have been stopped, starting with the Prato 2000 Basketball or the Prato Basketball Project and up to the Prato Women’s Basketball, Montemurlo Basket and the Valbisenzio Minibasket Center. Go ahead, next weekend, at least for the moment, instead, for the First Division, Men’s Serie D (where the first teams of Montemurlo Basket, Progetto Pallacanestro Prato and Cmb Valbisenzio are involved), Serie C Women’s, Under 19 Men’s, Under 17 Elite Male, Under 17 female, Under 15 Excellence.
