“I can’t imagine the ÖFB changing the terms of the pot,” says Kapfenberg President Erwin Fuchs, who is on the Bundesliga supervisory board. “After all, the ÖFB is interested in as many potential national players as possible being used in the league. But financially strong clubs that earn well in the European Cup can do without the funding.” Klagenfurt, for example, is already using more legionnaires and foregoes funding, as has LASK (now twelve legionnaires).
