Judo: Five continental tests for Algerian referees between March and November 2022

Algerian judo referees will have to pass five continental tests, between March and November 2022, to regularize their situation, on the instructions of the African Union of Discipline (UAJ), we learned on Tuesday from the National Federation (FAJ). “The first test will take place on March 12-13 in Tunis, the second on June 18-19 in Madagascar, the third on July 16-17 in Burkina Faso, the fourth on October 1-2 in Angola, and the last on 19 -November 20 in Cameroon”, specified the federal authority in a brief press release, published on its official website. “As for the ”international referee” grade, there will only be one test, and it will take place between May 25 and 29, 2022, on the sidelines of the African Championship (seniors) scheduled for Oran (Algeria)”, we again announced from the same source. Former Algerian judoka Mohamed Meridja, now vice-president of the African Judo Union, insisted on the need to pass these tests, as they could contribute to the development of the discipline at the national level. Furthermore, and in the same perspective of development, the Algerian Federation announced on Tuesday that it intends to organize a national seminar, on January 22 in Birtouta (Algiers), to inform coaches and referees of the latest changes made at the level international arbitration rules.
