Santo Domingo.- Complying with the strategic plan to impact the population in a positive way, Vice Admiral José Manuel Cabrera Ulloa, president of the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD), said that in just over a year that entity has renovated some 66 soccer fields. basketball and volleyball throughout the country.
Last Saturday, Cabrera Ulloa handed over two renovated fields in the towns of La Vivienda 1 and El Campamento, belonging to the municipality of Las Matas de Santa Cruz, Montecristi.
“We feel good because last year more than 18,000 children and adolescents were benefited through interventions at sports facilities and more than 100 talks were given on the use and abuse of controlled substances and the consequences it leaves on the population” explained Cabrera Ulloa, who was accompanied by Major League Baseball player Nelson Cruz.
