Orcet. Black belts and medals at the Judo Club of Orcet. . On Friday, on the tatami of the Jean-Moulin room, the black belt was awarded to Thierry Gillart and Philippe Vanoli, newly promoted from the jujitsu section of the Orcet judo-club. A success hailed by the judges and a pride for the club, created thirty-five years ago.
Always attracted to the art of the samurai, Philippe Vanoli began practicing jujitsu in 2014. His children being judokas, he set foot in the club by picking them up or taking them to competitions. The many requests from Bruno Bonnefoi, then a teacher, to come and try, ended up deciding him to do a first test. Very quickly, the desire to be a black belt became his main objective and all his daily efforts and training allowed him to win this belt.
The love of the tatami
Thierry Gillart has been practicing judo since 1997, having started at the age of 35 with his son, who was then 6 years old. This love of the tatami never left him. He also trained in self-defense and then in jujitsu. Due to his age, he didn’t think he would go beyond the brown belt. Pascal Tedeshi, his teacher, managed to convince him to seek out what the black belt represents.
This weekend, the young judokas from Orcétois were full of medals at the departmental cadet championship 1 re division. Lorenzo Vieira won a gold medal; Maé Boudier-Gentet, a silver medal and Fouad Lachebi, bronze, in less than 60 kg. Corentin Perrot climbed, in less than 66 kg, on the third step of the podium and, in the girls, in less than 52 kg, an Orcétoise final opposed Emy Rémini to his teammate Ninon Dachet. A high-level fight that allowed Emy to win the gold medal.
The next step will be the interdepartmental championship at the beginning of March.
