Persib Bandung young player, Bayu Mohamad Fiqri, received a call to the Indonesian national team. The 21-year-old player is proud to be able to penetrate the Red-White Team squad.
The Indonesian national team will have an international match. Timor Leste that will be faced on two occasions.
The duel that Indonesia vs Timor Leste will take place at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Monday (24/1/2022). The second match was 3 days later.
Bayu is one of the seven debutants called by Shin Tae-yong. He is always ready if there is a call in the Garuda squad.
“That’s not a problem, because being part of the national team is a matter of pride. So you have to be ready when there’s a call for the national team,” Bayu said on Persib’s official website.
Bayu did not set a specific target for the first opportunity in the national team. The player who plays as a defender promised to work hard.
“I am grateful that I was given the opportunity to be with the senior national team. Regarding targets, only work hard to be able to give the best. Pray and work hard on the field,” said Bayu.
Bayu is the only Persib player called up for the international break this month. In the 2020 AFF Cup, Persib sent Ezra Walian and Victor Igbonefo to Shin Tae-yong’s squad.
