No Need to Pay! Arsenal Release Sead Kolasinac For Free To French Ligue 1 Club

Sead Kolasinac ended his adventure with Arsenal after securing a free transfer to Marseille this winter.

The 28-year-old defender is a part The Gunners since June 2017 and made 118 appearances in all competitions during his time in north London.

The Bosnia international began to lose his place when Mikel Arteta took over, even being loaned out to Schalke 04 in the second half of last season.

Arsenal explained that Kolasinac chose to leave by mutual agreement, and the club “would like to thank him for his contribution to the team since joining in 2017 and wish him all the best for the future.”

At Marseille, Kolasinac has a contract until June 2023 and he will wear the number 23 shirt, which was previously owned by Amay Caprice.

Kolasniac did not forget to announce his move on Instagram, including a caption that read: “Hello Marseille! I am happy to announce that I am now part of Olympique de Marseille.
