Five Mexican golfers will compete in the Latin America Amateur

The Latin America Amateur Championship will have the participation of five Mexican representatives in its field.

Luis Carrera, Cristóbal Islas, Alejandro Fierro, Santiago De la Fuente and Isaac Rodea are the ones who will participate from January 20 to 23 in the Casa del Campo lawn in the Dominican Republic.

This tournament will entertain the best Latin American amateur golfers, according to the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).

The five tricolors will seek to emulate the feat achieved by Álvaro Ortiz in 2019, lift the trophy and play two Majors. Since, in addition to the stimulation that competing in the LAAC means, this championship provides great benefits for the players.

The champion receives an invitation to compete in the Masters Tournament and The Open Championship. In addition, the winner and the player(s) who finish in second place go straight into the final stages of qualifying, with a chance to make it to The Open and the US Open.

In addition, the champion receives full waivers to contest The Amateur, the US Amateur Championship, and other USGA amateur championships for which he or she is eligible.
