Eight teams in a pure draw… and all against Real Madrid

THEeight teams from LaLiga Santander will enter into a single pot to give shape to a pure draw for the Copa del Rey quarterfinals. David Villa will be in charge this Friday of taking out the balls that match these eight teams in a tie that will be played again in a single game.

These quarterfinals will be played on February 1, 2 and 3 and it will not be without controversy since those players summoned by the teams that continue to determine the qualification for the Qatar World Cup will not be able to be (Asia, Central and South America).

The most affected of all is Real Madrid, which will not be able to count on four Brazilians (Casemiro, Militao, Rodrygo and Vinicius) and a Uruguayan (Faith Valverde). The white team hopes that some of their players can be released from the second commitment with their respective teams.

Cádiz and Rayo Vallecano They are the only teams that do not know what it is to win the KO tournament. Mallorca I conquered it in 2003; the last title of the Real society it was in 2020; the last winding of the Betis it was in 2005; the Valencia lifted the Cup for the last time in 2019 and you have to go back to 1984 to remember the last cup title of the Athletic.

The Real Madrid They start as favorites after victoriously beating Elche in extra time and after the eliminations of Atltico, Sevilla and Barcelona. In 2014 it was the last title that the whites lifted in this competition in that final in Mestalla with Bale great protagonist.
