The Penguins started building a solid foundation for victory in the first third, scoring three goals. Thanks to tonight’s victory, the Penguins rose to fifth place in the Eastern Conference. Pittsburgh has scored 53 points in 39 games this season. Meanwhile, Ottawa has done much worse – the Senator, with 24 points in 33 matches, is in the penultimate place in the Eastern Conference.
