Looking ahead to what will be its third participation in the Women’s League, Corrientes Básquet began with the assembly of its squad while waiting for the start date of the competition to become official.
The continuity of Sofía Cabrera, the Corrientes woman who is the team’s benchmark, was reported. Aldana Duarte, Adrianna Murphy, Malvina D’Agostino, Guadalupe Almozni and Agustina Basualdo will also remain on campus.
While the first new faces of the team will be Julia Centurión and Agustina Bazán.
Centurión already played in Corrientes Básquet during the first tournament of 2021, later he continued his career abroad: Marineros de Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and Bohemios, Uruguay.
For his part, Bazán comes from playing with Ferro Carril Oeste in the National League, in Catamarca the Federal Tournament and has a stint with the Argentine team.
Meanwhile, the coaching staff will remain intact as Renato Novatti will continue to lead the squad with the technical assistance of Enzo Almeida. While the team leader will continue to be Marcelo Quagliozzi.
In this way, the leadership of Corrientes bets heavily on a project that began last year and that closed the season with the runner-up. For this reason, new hirings are analyzed that allow him to give greater hierarchy to the campus.
