PMU – Arrival of the quinté of Friday January 21 in Cagnes-sur-Mer: and in the end, it is Norwegian Sir who wins!

Arrival of the fifth: 3 – 16 – 15 – 6 – 4

In theory, races contested under the handicap formula are supposed to offer the same chance to all competitors since they must carry more or less weight depending on their previous performance. And the fight was bitter this Friday on the racecourse of Cagnes-sur-Mer, three horses having crossed the post in a pocket handkerchief. Finally, the prize went to Norwegian Sir (#3). Ridden by Alexis Pouchin, this representative of Guy Pariente’s silks took a little time to get through. Once the interval was found, he accelerated very well to arbitrate the mano a mano that took place Carlton Choice (#16) and Diva du Dancing (No. 15), the two smallest weights in the race, which therefore rank second and third respectively.

By winning this race, Norwegian Sir wins the second fifth of his career but above all confirms that he is much more efficient on the grass, he who remained on three failures in events contested on fiber sand tracks.

Second favorite of the event, Hootton (n° 6) is to be credited with a nice straight line but at a distance from the leading trio while The Live Freedom (No. 4) completes the good combination of a profitable fifth (nearly 357,000 euros for two euros)!
