While his value was said to be nil on the market, Lakers, Garland at the party”>Russell Westbrook is coveted for a team according to the latest information from a reputable insider! And that necessarily changes things, especially given the current hassle of the leader…
Russell Westbrook will he finish the season with the Lakers? The question would have seemed crazy a few months ago, and yet it is very topical now. Unable to perform in attack as in defense, the Brodie is very far from justifying the 44 million dollars he receives in the city of angels. The casting error now seems obvious, and the Lakers front office is exploring possibilities to get rid of it.
The problem is that the staggering sum received by Westbrook, which will also receive an additional 47 million next year, repels all suitors. All … or almost, since a reckless suitor would be ready to enter the dance and win the services of the former Thunder star.
A Western team would be ready to recover Westbrook from the Lakers!
The renowned Marc Stein, figurehead of NBA reporting for the New York Post, indeed tells us this Friday that the Houston Rockets would not be against the idea of a trade to bring Westbrook back home. The proof below:

There’s a team in the NBA that would be willing to pick up Russell Westbrook if the terms were right, according to Marc Stein of the New York Post:
“That team, surprisingly, is the Houston Rockets” ????
This is surprising! Russell Westbrook has already passed through Houston during the 2019-2020 season, without much success… but it was under the leadership of GM Daryl Morey, who has since moved to Philadelphia. The new regime in place in Texas would therefore not be against trying the experiment again, especially since the Rockets could get rid of cumbersome players in the deal to focus on the duo Jalen Green – Kevin Porter Jr.
We think in particular of a Christian Wood more frankly in the odor of sanctity, paid 13.6 million annually, and who would do a lot of good for the Lakers. Ditto for Eric Gordon (18 million), who no longer really hides his desire to leave. Finally, although sidelined, John Wall and his 44 million a year are indeed still the property of the Rockets, in case Rob Pelinka is interested in the former Wizard…
Will the Rockets send huge shockwaves through the NBA by getting Russell Westbrook in a big trade with the Lakers? We are far from it for the moment, but there is hope now. Folder to keep in the back of your mind…
