US Orléans started the year as they had finished the previous one: by a victory. This Friday evening, at the La Source stadium, she doubted against Boulogne-sur-Mer, the last of the National, but she finally won the bet, which allows her to stay out of the relegation zone, in 13th place.

The first period
The match could not have started worse for the Orleans team, who were picked up cold in the 7th minute. On a counter, Ibrahim Fofana played Nicolas Saint-Ruf on a fake shot and then adjusted Franck L’Hostis with a cross shot on the opposite side netting.
The USO could have caught up almost immediately, but Esteban Lepaul did not fit his shot (8th), no more than his cross shot (20th). He still had a golden opportunity, certainly the most beautiful of the first period. Served perfectly by Florian Lapis and alone against Simon Pontdemé, he lost his duel against the northern goalkeeper (26th).
Liamine Mokdad was no more adroit a minute later. And fortunately, Claudio Beauvue’s free kick grazed the skylight of Franck L’Hostis’ goals (39th).
The second period
The USO found the fault as soon as the recovery took place. Served by Fred Dembi, Liamine Mokdad crossed for Ibrahim Sangaré who closely deceived Simon Pontdemé… but the goal was disallowed for an unclear offside (50th). Never mind, Hicham Benkaïd, returned a few moments earlier, pierced the northern defense and found Jimmy Halby-Touré at the penalty spot. With a curling strike from the left, the Orleans right-hander equalized (54th).
But the USO did not take advantage of this to push Boulogne down, which on the contrary was on the verge of regaining the advantage. Clarck Nsikulu’s strike was repelled by Franck L’Hostis (59′) and Boris Moltenis did not catch the target on an acrobatic recovery at the far post (60′).
The Orléanais were on the attack again. In the penalty area, Hicham Benkaïd was countered (71). It is Nicolas Saint-Ruf who delivered his own. And how! On a shot from Fred Dembi, the Orleans defender recovered the ball from the penalty spot and sent a missile under the bar (76th).
The number: 3
Scorers tonight Jimmy Halby-Touré and Nicolas Saint-Ruf join Hicham Benkaïd at the top of the best Orléans directors this season… with three goals! Note that Nicolas Saint-Ruf had already scored the winning goal in the last home win against Créteil on November 5.
The following
After having not played for more than a month before hosting Boulogne, US Orléans will continue and update their calendar. She will play her two matches late this Tuesday January 25 with the reception of Sedan (7 p.m.) and a trip four days later, on Saturday January 29, in Concarneau, the leader.
