Zulte Waregem now has two head trainers with Davy De fauw and Timmy Simons: “I don't see the problem, though…””>Francky Dury was sidelined at Zulte Waregem at the end of last year. He says he already received an offer from abroad, but did not take it.
Francky Dury clearly has no problem doing nothing for a while. “I didn’t know freedom was so much fun. As a trainer you are always busy. Hardly any free weekends, you are away or playing football four evenings a week. And I’ve been a trainer since I was 26. Now I realize: being healthy and free is the most beautiful thing in the world. We have been to Tenerife. Almost three weeks of good weather,” he told the Krant van West-Vlaanderen.
However, he is not yet ready to stop completely. A new club can certainly come and get him. “I’m not thinking about that today. Yes, I have already received a question from abroad. A surprising question, but I don’t want to go into that. January is not an obvious month to get into something. But I’ve got my job again: I’m writing a book. Real. I take a year for it. Eleven months. All my experiences of 38 years as a coach.”
