Judo: three minims get on the podium

Since the start of the health crisis and the first confinement in March 2020, the French Judo Federation had to suspend most of the sports meetings scheduled on its calendar, as was the case in Bédarieux. But the club has found its bearings and is still training. All the athletes were therefore eager to finally see the restrictions, which prevented them from competing, lifted. For the young minimals, a place and a date was announced: Mèze for the Departmental Cup, recently.

On this occasion, the local club presented six candidates. Among the girls, Alaïs Cabrol and Marilou Hyla; among the boys, Bastien Gaillard-Hurtevent, Hugo Moustelon, Raphaël Picard as well as Maé Roux-Dufour. There were varying fortunes but everyone did their best. At the time of the balance sheet, the club places three athletes on the podiums. Alaïs in – 40 kg and Marilou in – 70 kg finished 1st, while Hugo obtained a good third place in – 46 kg.

This flattering result allows the trio to continue on their way. They will be found during the East Zone Cup, which will take place in Grau-du-Roi, this January 23.

In addition, among the youngest, note the 3rd place of Nathan Moustelon, during the first meeting in the district. He thus qualified for the Departmental Criterium, scheduled for Meze, on January 30th.
