The Peperami JTA Club Cup is postponed nationally for the time being, forcing each state to go through their qualifying dates. Saltillo would host the state qualifying round that would take place this weekend, but the state phase has been officially postponed.
Although the reasons for postponing the important competition were not disclosed, it is presumed that the decision could have been made due to the rebound in positive cases for COVID-19 and the rise of the Omicron variant.
The club cup competition joins the Copa-Liga Telmex Telcel 2022 as the two tournaments that have been postponed. Both sporting events would have the Coahuila state eliminator during this weekend on the VComplex court.
The date of resumption in the case of the Copa-Liga Telmex Telcel 2022 is not yet known. While, for the Copa de Clubes Peperami JTA, the state qualifier is expected to take place in the month of February, although no marked an official date.
