Small moment which has its importance in the life of a judoka, the passage of ranks, took place Saturday afternoon in the martial arts hall in Rozanduc. Seven young people from the Ponds dojo were thus directed there by their elders, green or blue belts, to carry out the various exercises required. “It is indeed the most senior who supervise this belt passage, this allows them to integrate the functioning of the club”, explains their teacher, Émilie Kerhervé, 4th dan. Immobilization techniques, falls, reversals, standing techniques, one chosen and one drawn by lot, sanctioned this examination taken very seriously by the students. “There are also questions on the theme of ‘Being a good judoka’, with the different values that this represents, it’s important in their career,” says Émilie.
At the end of the school year, another meeting will await the young judokas of the club, with a new belt passage in the company of their comrades from the clubs of Elliant and Scaër.
