From Venezuela to Argentina
Edgar “Petare” Martínez joins the Argentine squad for the LNB. He is a 25-year-old perimeter player (1.92 tall) who comes from playing with the Guaiqueríes de Margarita, where he won the title of the 2021 Super League of Venezuela. He was also called up to the Venezuela team to play in the 2023 World Cup qualifiers.
He enters as a replacement for point guard Emiliano Correa. The Chaqueño suffered a fracture in the scaphoid of his right hand and will have to undergo surgery to then begin his recovery.
