It all started with a message from ex-racer Andrew Talansky. The American spoke in a remarkable way about the corona pandemic, which he says “doesn’t exist if you turn off social media and turn off your internet for a while”. An English cycling journalist reacted rather cynically to the tweet, to which she received a reply from Thomas De Gendt.
“He is correct”, our compatriot stated in an ironic way. “I’ve been away from social media for a while, so I haven’t read anything about Tadej Pogacar. If he’s not real, he can’t hurt me.”
