Jiménez achieves his eleventh victory on the Champions Tour

Spanish Miguel Ángel Jiménez achieved his eleventh victory in the Champions Tour of golf for veterans by winning the Mitsubishi Electric Championship for the third time in his career, played at the Hualalai club in Ka’upulehu-Kona, in Hawaii (USA). The 58-year-old from Malaga won the tiebreaker against Australian Steven Alker (-22), whom he beat on the second extra hole, reports the Spanish federation. Both players finished the three rounds tied at 199 strokes (17 under par).

Jimenez, who previously won this tournament in 2015 and 2020, signed his eleventh victory on the Champions Tour after finishing the 2021 season in white. He had not won since September 13, 2020, when he won the Sanford International.
