Wimmer inspired Arminia’s 2-0 victory with a goal and an assist worth seeing. Not even three years ago, Wimmer was still playing in the Lower Austrian state league (4th division) at SV Gaflenz. After two years at Wiener Austria, he went to Bielefeld last August for a fee of 700,000 euros. There he quickly gained a foothold as a right winger. The league has three goals and five assists.
Wimmer is tied to Bielefeld until 2025. Austria would be involved in a resale. In East Westphalia they appreciate his carefree nature.
