Damien Gasnier from Argentan judo club (Orne) reached the junior repechage final at Montivilliers (Seine Maritime), Saturday, January 22, 2022, with his teacher, Loïc Broussot.
Engaged in the category of -60 kg, Damien Gasnier, of Judo club Argentan defended all his chances in the junior quarter-finals, in Montivilliers, Saturday January 22, 2022.
In the 1/8th finals, he eliminated a fighter from the Côte d‘Alabaster on a waza-ri.
In the 1/4 final, the task becomes more complicated.
They‘quickly loses against an opponent more experienced than him.

However, the Argentinian fighter does not give up and wins his fight and goes to the repechage final where he s‘tilt slightly.
“It’s not all bad, there’s a lot of positive morally. It is complicated these days to combine studies and training. It also lacks competition because of our forced break caused by the Covid. There are quite a few deadlines in the coming weeks to improve the result”
