For three days, the coastal town of Tarnos turns into a melting pot of athletes for what is the 6th edition of this sports week. On the one hand, there are already recognized champions, who will meet the public at the media library. Thus will be present Stéphane Diagana, 1997 world champion and 2022 European champion in 400 meters hurdles, Jérôme Fernandez, double Olympic champion, quadruple world champion, former captain and top scorer of the French handball team, and Guillaume Toucoullet , present in Tokyo last summer for the archery events at the Paralympic Games.
On the other side, we will find the champions of tomorrow. Indeed, nearly 300 CM2 students from local schools will take part in activities to learn about two Paralympic sports (goalball and boccia) and one Olympic sport (athletics).
