Interview with David Lossouarn, judo teacher in Janzé (Ille-et-Vilaine).
Why did you organize this judo interclub?
I teach judo in three clubs, La Rouette MJC, at Corps-Nuds, the Dojo club janzéen and the Dojo du Plessis. This allows me to organize competitions for all young judokas from 4 to 13 years old, every year, in the different dojos. These regional competitions, friendly and official, allow you to find yourself in a good state of mind.
This interclub gives the opportunity to young judokas to meet new partners and to familiarize themselves with the competition. The 10 to 13 year olds were able to learn to referee the youngest.
How does a competition take place?
The competition begins with a collective warm-up. At the end of three fights, each child receives a medal as a reward for their sporting commitment. With the alliance of all these clubs, a new competition is planned for March, in Saint-Germain-du-Pinel.
What were the tournament conditions like?
The team of the association wanted to maintain this interclub so that the children can enjoy a good sporting exchange between them. All health constraints have been respected so that the judo competition can take place as normally as possible.
A total of 202 children fought and about 400 people came to watch the fighting. A great success.
