According to the journalist Bruno Andrade, in addition to Liverpool FC, the two Bundesliga representatives Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen have good chances of winning the contract. Carvalho has also been linked with West Ham United, Real Madrid, FC Porto and Leeds United in recent weeks.
