FC Bayern: New contract? Apparently no “trend reversal” to be expected at Tolisso

Tolisso’s contract with FC Bayern expires in the summer. So far it does not look like an extension – and not after a rethink.
Corentin Tolisso has been in impressive form at Bayern for a few weeks, and according to information from the kicker still not out at the moment.
Accordingly, a currently much-discussed further employment of the French national player beyond the summer is “completely open”. Despite the recent good performances, a “blatant trend reversal” is currently not to be expected.
Tolisso must provide constant confirmation of his performance. In addition, the former record purchase (2017, 41.5 million euros) was injured too often. The Frenchman only played 111 possible competitive games, which corresponds to 47.8 percent.
Nagelsmann praised Tolisso last
Tolisso was one of the candidates for sale last summer. For a long time it had seemed that Bayern would also try to sell Tolisso in winter in order to generate at least a little fee for the midfielder who was free in the summer.
Due to the Corona chaos and the many failures, Tolisso had recently played his way into the first eleven of coach Julian Nagelsmann, who recently found several words of praise for his protégé.
Denis Zakaria from Borussia Mönchengladbach has been mentioned again and again in recent weeks and months as an alternative to Tolisso. The Swiss will also be free after the end of the season. According to reports, there is interest from Munich.
According to Nagelsmann, it is “the duty to always discuss players who are free.” Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic ruled out a commitment in winter in the game against Hertha BSC.
