Successful judokas

Saint-Pourcain-sur-Sioule. Successful judokas. For the first time since the start of the pandemic, the Saint-Pourcinois Judo Club was able to start a season without a hitch. Indeed, since the resumption authorized in May 2021 by the government, training has never stopped at the Saint-Pourcain-sur-Sioule dojo in order to best prepare the club’s licensees for their championships.

Young judokas have resumed the path of competition by participating in many departmental tournaments for the youngest and national for the most seasoned through Cosne-d’Allier, Clermont-Ferrand, Andrézieux-Bouthéon, Bourges, Limoges or Aix -en-Provence with the added bonus of great successes.

The club was delighted with the very good results on the first levels of the championships with nine podiums out of twelve of the first entrants, including five titles won at the minimum level by Jona Boucaud, Maxime Serre; Andréa Kruk and Romane Tierno and in the juniors by Lison Goncalves.

Louise Loustalniau and Félicie Goncalves win silver in minims; the youngest Juliette Barthoux and the junior Emma Fantin win the bronze.

Even if they are not on the three highest steps, the cadets Lucie Tournu (4 e ) and Léa Honoré (5 e ) and junior Enzo Vito (7 e ) is placed in the general rankings.

Convenient. The Judo-club offers free trial sessions, accessible to everyone (from 6 to 60 years old) throughout the month of January, on Tuesdays and Fridays, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
