Washington Football Team beats apathetic Giants in farewell to the season

The Giants ended their melancholy season losing at home to the Washington Football Team by 22-7, in a game played this Sunday afternoon (9), at MetLife Stadium, in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It was a super apathetic game for the hosts, who committed three turnovers, gained 177 yards and even provided some bizarre moments, such as a third for nine in which the call was a quarterback sneak against the wall.

The Giants ended the season with just four wins and 13 losses, with Joe Judge, the team’s head coach, amassing a record of just 10 wins and 23 losses in his two years in charge of New York. There were six straight defeats in the final stretch of the current season. Heads should roll starting this Monday (9), even more so in a franchise as traditional as the Giants.

With nothing to do with rivals’ problems, the Washington Football Team ended a streak of four straight defeats that took the team out of the Playoffs. Anthony Gibson rushed 21 times for 146 yards, ending the year with 1,037 yards. This is his first 1,000-yard season and Washington’s first since Adrian Peterson in 2018.

Taylor Heinicke had 9 of 18 passes completed for 120 yards. Washington was third in the NFC East with seven wins and 10 losses. In the month of February, the team will announce its new name to the world of the NFL.
