DAZN raises prices!
From February 1st, new customers of the streaming platform will face higher costs. The subscription, which can be canceled monthly, will then cost EUR 29.99 instead of the previous EUR 14.99 per month. With an annual subscription, you pay EUR 24.99 per month (EUR 274.99 instead of EUR 299.88 for twelve months with a one-off payment). This price was previously 12.50 euros (149.99 euros per year).
These prices initially only apply to new subscribers and customers who return after a subscription has ended. Anyone who currently has a subscription to DAZN pays their current monthly amount at least until July 31, 2022. According to DAZN, it is not yet clear what will happen next. This pricing structure is currently in progress. The platform then wants to inform existing customers in good time about how the costs will change from August.
DAZN justifies the step with an increased rights portfolio: Among other things, 106 Bundesliga games and almost the entire Champions League have been running on the platform since the beginning of the 2021/22 season.
When DAZN started in 2016, the price for the flexible monthly subscription was EUR 9.99 per month. This was followed in August 2019 by an increase to EUR 11.99. Finally, in August 2021, it continued to rise to EUR 14.99. Now it will be 29.99 euros.
Since 2019 there has also been an annual subscription. To get started, you paid 119.99 euros. Since the summer of 2021, the price has been 149.99 euros and from February 2022 it will finally be 274.99 euros for new customers. (processed)
