20 players called up for the Bordeaux international tournament

20 players are summoned by Karim Souchu, the new coach of the French 3×3 team, to prepare for the International Tournament in Bordeaux. A preparation course will take place during the international break, from February 21 to 24, just before the Bordeaux tournament. 3×3 is gaining more and more momentum in France, with a proliferation of tournaments and the Tokyo Olympics last summer, where the first edition of the Olympic 3×3 tournament took place.

Karim Souchu has composed a group of well-known players from the Betclic ELITE and Pro B championships, with for example Clement Cavallo from Chorale Roanne, Ivan Fevrier from Boulazac, Mehdy Ngouama from ESSM le Portel, or even a trio of players from SIG Strasbourg: Jean-Baptiste Maille, Gaylor Curier and Léopold Cavalière. Some are already familiar with the 3×3 events: Léopold Cavalière took part in and won the French Open last summer with Team Paris 3×3, alongside Antoine Eito, Johan Passave-Ducteil and Angelo Tsagarakis.

The camp and the tournament next February will aim to prepare for the 3×3 World Cup, which will take place in Antwerp, Belgium from June 22 to 26; and the Eurocup in Graz, Austria on September 9, 10 and 11, 2022.
