Justo Noda, multiple Olympic champion, will be the new coach of Peruvian Judo

In preparation for the next ODESUR Games, the Santiago 2021 Pan American Games and the Paris 2021 Olympic Games, the Peruvian Judo Sports Federation presented the new Head Coach of the National Team. This is the Cuban coach, Justo Noda.

Through a ceremony held at VIDENA, the Judo Peru team, under the management of its president María Martínez, also presented the entire work team that will accompany the head coach. As Head of the Technical Unit will be Franco Loza, while the coaches will be Jesús Gavidia, Angelo Acosta, Giancarlo Leyton, Luis Angeles, Pedro Manrique and Kenji Castillo.

Professor Justo Noda is an eminence in world judo, and has been present in the most important sporting events worldwide: 7 Olympic Games, 20 World Championships, 8 Pan American Games and 7 in the Central American and Caribbean Games. From the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games to Rio 2016, he has been in charge of the Cuban national team, obtaining a total of 17 Olympic medals.

After his presentation, the Cuban declared: “I thank the Pan American Judo Confederation. The Peruvian Judo Federation. Its president María Martínez. We have great material. We have to have discipline and responsibility is important. We do not want to create false expectations, but We are going to achieve great results.”
