El Telcel Mexican Open announced the complete list of players for the 2022 edition, headed by four of the best tennis players in the world: Daniil Medvedev (2), Alexander Zverev (3), Stefanos Tsitsipas (4) and Rafael Nadal (5). The tennis tournament will be held from February 21 to 26 in Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico.
Zverev will seek to defend the title he won against Tsitsipas in the 2021 edition, while Nadal return to Mexican soil with the goal set on his fourth trophy of the competition.

In total, 23 names were revealed, among which those of Pablo Carreo (Spain), bronze medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games; Grigor Dimitrov (Bulgaria), champion of the 2014 edition; Taylor Fritz (United States), finalist in 2020; Cameron Norrie (United Kingdom), reigning champion of the Los Cabos Open; and Matteo Berrettini (Italy), number 7 in the world.

As part of the sanitary measures against infections by coronavirus Covid-19, the AMT implement the “Safety Pass”. All fans will have to take an antigen test (minimum validity of 72 hours) to enter the event. Anyone with a negative result will be given a bracelet, which is unique and non-transferable.
AMT 2022 opens its headquarters
It should be remembered that for the edition of the 2022 the Telcel Mexican Open will have a new venue, located in Acapulco Diamante and five minutes from the previous headquarters. The new facilities have a main stadium with capacity for more than 10 thousand people, in addition to four secondary courts.
