Three wins and one loss for German basketball players in the NBA. Isaiah Hartenstein in particular was convincing in a narrow victory for the Los Angeles Clippers.
The 23-year-old Hartenstein scored 16 points on Tuesday (01/25/2022, local time) at 116:115 at the Washington Wizards. The Clippers turned a temporary deficit of 35 points.
Schröder with just two points in the Celtics’ success
Dennis Schröder also celebrated a victory. In the 128:75 of his Boston Celtics against the Sacramento Kings, however, he only scored two points. Isaac Bonga made a three-minute cameo in the Toronto Raptors’ 125-113 win over the Charlotte Hornets, but didn’t score.
Clear defeat for the Mavericks
Maximilian Kleber suffered a setback with the Dallas Mavericks. The Texans clearly lost the top game in the West at the Golden State Warriors with 92:130. Kleber contributed eight points.
Lakers win with Davis
The struggling Los Angeles Lakers won their first game after Anthony Davis’ injury layoff against the Brooklyn Nets. After 17 games without the 28-year-old, the record champions scored 106:96 against the Nets, who in turn had to do without the injured Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, who was not eligible to play in New York because he was not vaccinated.
For the Lakers it was only the 24th win in the 48th game of the season, and the team around superstar LeBron James has only won half of the past ten games. James had 33 points, Russell Westbrook had 15 and Davis contributed eight points. In the Nets, James Harden was the most successful with 33 points.
