Joshua Zirkzee has been convincing in recent weeks at RSC Anderlecht. The young Dutchman excels every week and seems to be working on his big breakthrough. Willem van Hanegem sees Zirkzee reach the European top.
De Kromme is very impressed by the development of Zirkzee. In The last news he is particularly full of praise for the Anderlecht attacker. “His arsenal of talent is more apparent. He is not even completely dependent on his goals. A huge asset as a striker,” said Van Hanegem.
Zirkzee showed himself at Bayern Munich as a teenager, but a real breakthrough was not in it. “Not so bad,” says Van Hanegem. “Learning from Lewandowski and standing against top defenders in every training session has helped him grow a lot.” Bayern reportedly want to give him another chance next summer, although it is questionable whether Zirkzee will succeed there. “I think it will be difficult for him at Bayern, but Joshua can join another European top club,” Van Hanegem concludes.
Zirkzee played 27 times for Anderlecht this season. He was good for twelve goals and eight assists.
