LeBron James and Kevin Durant select All-Star teams

LeBron James has been named an NBA All-Star for the 18th year in a row – again as a starter. Along with Kevin Durant, the Lakers star will choose the two starting lineups for the All-Star Game.

18th All-Star Entry: Second-most nominations tied with Kobe Bryant, only behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (19 All-Star entries). 18 times selected as an all-star starter – record. Received the most votes for the ninth time – beating Michael Jordan’s record. Even at 37, LeBron James is still one of the most popular and best players in the NBA.

With this, James and Kevin Durant will determine the two formations for the NBA All-Star Game on February 20th. James has been named the most frequently by fans, NBA players and journalists on the western frontcourt. The same is true of Durant on the East frontcourt, as well as DeMar DeRozan and Stephen Curry. It is doubtful whether Durant will really play in Cleveland: the Nets star is currently suffering from a knee injury

The all-star starters at a glance:

Eastern Conference: Trae Young (Atlanta Hawks), DeMar DeRozan (Chicago Bulls), Kevin Durant (Brooklyn Nets), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers)

Western Conference: Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors), Ja Morant (Memphis Grizzlies), Andrew Wiggins (Golden State Warriors), LeBron James (Los Angeles Lakers), Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets)

Perhaps the most surprising is the choice of Andrew Wiggins. The winger finished sixth in Media Picks and fifth in Player Picks, but was the third most voted by frontcourt fans.
