Despite the Corona cases in the professional team, the youngsters of BG Göttingen will be playing their home game at the Sartorius Basketball Lab at the weekend. This was confirmed by BG Managing Director Frank Meinertshagen on Friday evening. The Sartorius Juniors start in the relegation round in the youth basketball Bundesliga (NBBL/U19) and welcome the Dresden Titans on Sunday at 2 p.m. (admission free with 2G-plus rule).

The young violets finished the NBBL-B main round in third place with five wins and four losses in group north and thus just missed the promotion round. The opponent from Saxony ended up in sixth place in the B main round group East with one win and eight defeats. “The strengths of the people of Dresden are their size and mobility. They play a passive zone defense on the defensive and less aggressively than is usually known. At the same time, they have very good ball movement offensively and often try to go one-on-one,” warns head coach Venelin Berov.
