under the image of The Liberator Simón Bolívar and the national tricolor, in the state of Guárico, the delegation of guariqueño athletes who will participate in the XX National Sports Games was flagged.
A total of 195 athletes compete for the state 21 disciplines and 44 modalities.
The governor of Guárico, José Vásquez, together with the president of the Regional Sports Institute (Irdebg), Ángel Acosta, presented the llanero pavilion to the athletes Fabianyelis Ramirez of the Taekwondo discipline; and José Ángel Requena in Kenpo, who will wave the image from Guariquena during the opening of the games, on January 31.
“This flag represents us, identifies us and unites us (…) Today we have games and athletes who will give everything for everything,” said the regional president.
Likewise, he highlighted that these games allow leveraging the sports strengths in each region, betting on the investment of sports talent, the raising of the infrastructure, logistics and general attention of the athletes, while allowing the evaluation of compliance with these policies.
For his part, Ángel Acosta, president of Irdebg, stated that Guárico is the sub-headquarters for these games in the areas of badminton, handball and coleo.
