swimming-immediately/” title=”Ranomi Kromowidjojo stops swimming immediately”>Ranomi Kromowidjojo will end her career as a top swimmer with immediate effect. The three-time Olympic champion will focus on a social career. The swimmer, who has trained her entire professional career since 2008 in the top sports swimming pool in Eindhoven, left the outside world in the dark about her future plans for a long time.

The 31-year-old ‘Kromo’ is one of the most successful swimmers in our country. Her honors list includes a total of 17 world championships and 24 European titles. She was the best three times in the Olympic 50-meter pool. At European level, she took six gold medals in the long course.

“It’s not that I don’t like it anymore or that my body is ready,” says Kromowidjojo. “But, I’m 31 and I’ve already achieved so much. What do I still want to achieve? Of course, I can always swim faster or better, but actually I think: it’s good that way.”
