Heracles Almelo will most likely strengthen with Anas Ouahim, a player of SV Sandhausen. Talks between the clubs are almost complete, sources around Heracles report.
Earlier on Monday it became clear that Heracles is still working on an incoming transfer and it now appears that it is Ouahim. The fact that his car was spotted at the Heracles stadium was a sign on the wall that the German will sign in Almelo.
Ouahim (24) mainly played in the 2. Bundesliga and 3. Bundesliga. He made five appearances for Sandhausen this season, in which he failed to score. Ouahim was also under contract with Kaiserslautern, VfL Osnabrück and FC Köln. He made his Bundesliga debut for the latter club in the 2017/2018 season.
In terms of incoming transfers, Heracles will probably not do anything anymore, but there is a chance that players will leave.
Update: Heracles has confirmed the arrival of Ouahim. The 24-year-old German-Moroccan midfielder will sign until mid-2024, including an option for another year. “Heracles Almelo is a club where I can take the next steps in my career. I have not chosen a longer contract for nothing. I really think that something beautiful can arise here,” said Ouahim, who has been followed for some time by Heracles. “Particularly in his time at VfL Osnabrück, our scouting Anas followed closely and he often noticed positively. After that he made the step to the 2. Bundesliga. He was now released and given the developments on our side, this was the moment to attract him,” confirms technical director Tim Gilissen via the Heracles channels.
